May used to seem a long way away. It doesn’t now! With the show fast approaching, and a great deal of work being done behind the scenes, we’re delighted to be working together with some great organisations to put the show together. Here’s a little bit about our partners, what they do, and where you’ll find them at the show. Maybe they can help your business too?
Taste of the West, established in 1991, is a unique membership organisation for food and drink producers, distributors, restaurants, cafes, pubs, hotels, farm shops and speciality retailers in the South West – all passionate about the provenance and quality of the products they make, serve or sell. Their organisation is the largest independent regional food group in the UK and they work hard to promote and support fantastic local food and drink from Cornwall, Devon, Dorset, Gloucestershire, Somerset and Wiltshire.
Their ethos of quality and integrity is underpinned by their annual awards scheme – the largest regional awards programme in the UK – for products, as well as shops, restaurants, pubs, hotels and cafes. Visit their awards page to find out how your business can get involved.
Taste of the West have also recently teamed up with WPS Insurance Brokers and launched Taste of the West Insurance Services at the Source trade show in February. They offer comprehensive policies that are appropriate to the specific needs of the food and drink community while still offering value for money. Cotswold Taste is a recently set-up member-owned co-operative and is the quality marque for local food and drink produced to high standards in the Cotswolds. Cotswold Taste aims to promote business resilience and success on the part of its members, to encourage reasonably priced, quality local food for consumers, and to contribute to conserving and enhancing the unique Cotswolds environment and its attractiveness. Its growing membership includes producers, suppliers, retailers and hospitality outlets across the region. It produces a monthly e-zine, ‘Cotswold Taste’, featuring news and developments in the Cotswold food and drink chain. (Stand A7).
Eat Sleep Live Herefordshire is an independent tourism marketing organisation supporting not only Herefordshire’s food and drink businesses, accommodation providers, activities, leisure venues and pursuits, and events, but also promoting the county’s crafts, creatives and artisans, its beauty, culture and heritage, plus its music and unique vibe. Run by a knowledgeable and enthusiastic team of Herefordshire based business and marketing professionals it is made possible by the support of its members.
They’re also a sociable bunch, using their Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest and Instagram to tell the world about wonderful Herefordshire and the things going on there. They also produce a regular tourism newsletter which you can sign up to here. (Stand A6).
